Safety first

Know when to pause, modify or not proceed.

This page offers general guidance for the equipment in the planned Newmarket suite. It cannot account for your history, medication, implanted device or current symptoms. The studio is not open, and final device-specific instructions have not yet been published.

Medical guidance

Ask before future use.

Seek professional medical advice for pregnancy, heat sensitivity, medical conditions and implanted electronic devices.

Do not use any future wellness equipment during a medical emergency, acute illness, intoxication, severe dehydration, fever, unexplained chest pain, fainting, severe shortness of breath or a new neurological symptom. Seek appropriate medical help instead.

Important screening categories.

Pregnancy

Avoid sauna and other heat stress unless your own qualified obstetrical provider advises otherwise. ACOG advises against sauna or hot-tub use early in pregnancy.

Heart, blood pressure or circulation concerns

Heat and compression may affect cardiovascular demand, circulation or blood pressure. Seek guidance for heart disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, clotting concerns, vascular disease or unexplained symptoms.

Pacemakers and implanted electronic devices

Do not use PEMF unless the device manufacturer and your clinician have specifically cleared the exact exposure. Other powered equipment may also require device-specific guidance.

Photosensitivity, skin or eye concerns

Review light exposure with a professional if you have a photosensitivity disorder, active lesion, eye condition, skin-cancer history at the exposure site, or take photosensitizing medication. Follow the final device instructions and eye-protection guidance.

Compression exclusions

Seek qualified guidance before pneumatic compression if you have suspected or known blood clots, significant vascular disease, acute infection, severe swelling, impaired sensation or a condition affected by external pressure.

Medication and recent procedures

Ask a pharmacist or clinician whether medication affects heat tolerance, hydration, blood pressure, balance, skin sensitivity or clotting. Follow procedure-specific restrictions after surgery, injections or cosmetic treatment.

If the studio proceeds

Conservative use will be the default.

Hydrate

Begin well hydrated, keep water available and do not combine equipment use with alcohol or recreational drugs.

Start low

Use shorter durations and lower settings until you understand your response.

Do not push through

Pain, dizziness, nausea, visual changes, numbness, palpitations or unusual shortness of breath mean stop.

Exit safely

Sit or lie down if faint, cool gradually, and seek urgent help for severe or persistent symptoms.

Planned operating standard

A waiver is not medical clearance.

Future screening questions and instructions will not replace medical assessment. Final device models, settings, contraindications and operating protocols will be published before opening.

  • Read the final equipment instructions before use.
  • Use only equipment you can enter and exit safely.
  • Never disable safety features or exceed posted settings.
  • Do not use a private room without appropriate supervision if you need medical support.
  • Contact emergency services for urgent symptoms.

Unsure whether the planned room fits your situation?

Ask a qualified healthcare professional before future equipment use. Support can answer offer and concept questions, but cannot provide medical clearance.
